Everton are reportedly plotting a move for Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho.
Carvalho has emerged as a recent target for the Blues as new manager Ronald Koeman strengthen his current midfield options.
A host of Premier League clubs have previously tracked the 24-year-old with Manchester United and Arsenal both credited with interest in the player.
But the Daily Mirror claim Everton have turned their attention to Carvalho after Napoli, Chelsea and Leicester City joined them in the race to land Axel Witsel.
The Portugal international failed to shine during his country’s run to Euro 2016 glory this summer but his performances for Sporting are understood to have caught the eye.
