Liverpool FC issued transfer ultimatum by Euro 2016 star’s club

Liverpool have been warned to firm up their interest in Piotr Zielinski by Udinese.

A bid of £11.75 million for the Poland international was rejected last weekend despite the Serie A club accepting a similar offer from Napoli for the player.

Zielinski remains intent on securing a move to Anfield despite the offer currently on the table from the Partenopei.

But Udinese’s sporting director Nereo Bonato insists that the Reds must make more serious offer for the 22-year-old midfielder.

He said: “There has been an agreement for Zielinski with Napoli for some time, but the guy took his time, as he had to play at the Euros.

“Perhaps now is the right time to make his decision.

“Liverpool did not make a real offer.

“If the English team does not come out of the closet, the boy eventually will understand the situation and will decide his future based on his offers.”
