Liverpool are set to cash in on Joe Allen’s Euro 2016 success as they prepare to sell the midfielder.
Jurgen Klopp is said to have been weighing up whether to offer the 26-year-old a new contract since the season ended, Allen having just 12 months left to run on his current deal, according the Club Call.
Despite an impressive run of form for Wales at Euro 2016, Liverpool have reportedly decided to sell Allen with a price tag of £11 million.
Klopp’s decision to let Allen leave is set to start a bidding war between several clubs who have registered an interest in the midfielder.
Six clubs are said to be interested with former club Swansea City, who recently saw an £8 million offer turned down, and Europa League winners Sevilla among them.
An unnamed Russian club are also keen on luring Allen abroad.
