Everton are reportedly lining up a move for Galatasaray attacker Wesley Sneijder.
Ronald Koeman worked with Sneijder during his formative years at Ajax and is now said to be eyeing a reunion at the Blues this summer.
The Holland international, 32, has enjoyed a stellar career that has seen him turn out for Real Madrid and Inter Milan but a switch to Goodison Park could be in the offing, according to reports in Turkey.
Haberler claim that Koeman is prepared to meet the release clause in Sneijder’s contract, believed to stand at £5.8 million, as the former Southampton boss looks to kick-start his Everton reign.
Manchester United have previously been linked with a move for the veteran playmaker due to his good relationship with Jose Mourinho during their Inter days.
Should the Old Trafford club’s interest resurface, it could pave the way for Everton to step up their pursuit of Red Devils midfielder Juan Mata.
