Mario Balotelli’s Liverpool nightmare could soon be at an end after his agent revealed that a deal with Besiktas is in the offing.
As Martin Skrtel’s own Anfield career is set to be ended with a move to Turkey, another Reds misfit may follow suit in the form of the Italy international.
In spite of an abject season-long loan spell at former club AC Milan, Balotelli has been the subject of interest from various clubs this summer, including as far afield as China, as Liverpool look to offload their £16 million striker.
And Mino Raiola, the player’s representative, confirmed that Besiktas are among those currently interested in signing the 25-year-old.
He said: “I offered Mario to Besiktas and I’m waiting for their answer.
“But I’m quite sure the transfer will happen as the president already assured me in the past that he would do everything he can to sign him.’’
