The Poland international is thought to be mulling over a move to the Premier League, clinic and would be keen on joining the Reds as he was a childhood supporter of the club, price according to the Daily Mail.
Manchester City have also been touted as a potential option for Lewandowski as he would ideally like to work again under one of his former managers in the form of Jurgen Klopp or Pep Guardiola.
At the moment the 27-year-old is said to be leaning towards a move to Real Madrid whilst he considers a new contract offer from Bayern Munich.
He is said to be wary of a move to the Bernabeu unless one of the current first team players, notably Karim Benzema or Cristiano Ronaldo, makes way.
