Liverpool FC set to renew interest in Bundesliga ace

Liverpool are reportedly planning to revive their interest in Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Mkhitaryan snubbed the Reds in the summer of 2013 in favour of a move to Borussia Dortmund, then managed by Jurgen Klopp, but could finally be in line for a switch to Anfield.

Portuguese newspaper Abola claim that Liverpool are among the  first teams to  “express an interest” in the Armenian playmaker after he rejected the offer of a new contract with the Bundesliga club.

The 27-year-old’s current deal at Signal Iduna Park expires next year and speculation has been rife that several Premier League sides, including Manchester United and Arsenal, are also interested in securing his services.

Under Klopp’s successor Thomas Tuchel, Mkhitaryan has provided 23 goals and a staggering 30 assists for Dortmund including a strike against Liverpool in the Europa League quarter-final.
