Piotr Zielinski is reportedly planning to snub Napoli’s advances in favour of a move to Liverpool.
The Udinese playmaker spent the past two seasons on loan with Empoli but looks set to leave the Serie A outfit this summer.
It had been claimed that Napoli were in pole position to secure Zielinski’s services but the Reds are instead said to have the upper hand.
Italian journalist Tancredi Palemeri reports that the Poland international, 22, is intent of pursuing his preferred option of a move to Anfield.
Jurgen Klopp has earmarked Zielinski, who was recently photographed wearing a Liverpool shirt, as one of his prime transfer targets this summer.
