Liverpool are reportedly on the verge of signing Hector Herrera from Porto.
Herrera recently emerged as a target for Napoli, with the Serie A outfit said to have offered £14 million for the highly-rated midfielder.
But the Reds appear to have beaten their Italian counterpart to the Mexico international’s signature.
Fox Sports MX reporter Vladimir Garcia claims that Anfield officials have brokered a deal with both Porto and Pachuca, who retain a 30% stake ownership in Herrera.
Jurgen Klopp has already secured his first signings of this summer with the captures of Joel Matip and Loris Karius, both from the Bundesliga.
