Luis Alberto may have a future at Liverpool after his agent revealed Jurgen Klopp is set to assess him in pre-season.
Alberto, 23, has spent the previous two seasons on loan, with Malaga and Deportivo La Coruna respectively, having failed to impress the Reds since his £6 million move from Sevilla.
But representative Alvaro Torres insists that the attacker’s Anfield future appears less ominous on the back of Klopp replacing Brendan Rodgers last October.
He said: “He belongs to Liverpool and has to return.
“We have already been informed that he will attend the pre-season with Liverpool.
“During the transfer market in May, we know little. The first thing is to talk with Liverpool and see what opinion they have on Alberto.”
