Incoming Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is set to renew his interest in John Stones.
Mourinho is set to be unveiled as Louis van Gaal’s Old Trafford successor later this week and has made a revived approach for the Everton defender high on his list of priorities.
The Portuguese coach failed to lure Stones to Chelsea last summer with a series of offers exceeding £30 million and will face off against his former club in the hunt for the 21-year-old.
New Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has earmarked Stones as a potential recruit while Manchester City, who will be headed up by Mourinho’s long-standing nemesis Pep Guardiola from next season, have also expressed an interest.
