Liverpool are reportedly set to make an offer for Leeds United defender Charlie Taylor, as they seek to improve their options at left back.
Taylor has been ever present for the Yorkshire club this season and with just a year left on his contract at Elland Road, Premier League clubs are showing an interest.
Football Insider report that Leeds are keen to sell the 22-year-old this summer, rather than lose him on a free transfer next year, if his contract is left to expire.
Reds manager Jurgen Klopp has made improvements in Liverpool’s defence his priority with the club already linked with youngsters including Celtic’s Kieran Tierney, Leicester City’s Ben Chilwell and Cologne’s Jonas Hector.
A move for any of these defenders would place further doubt over the long term future of Spanish full back Alberto Moreno, who despite his improvements, still needs to develop the defensive side of his game.
