Swansea City are reportedly eyeing a move to lure back Liverpool midfielder Joe Allen.
Allen has yet to hold talks with Anfield officials about extending his current Reds contract, which is set to expire in 12 months’ time, and could be on the verge of a return to the Swans.
The Wales international cost £15 million when he followed Brendan Rodgers from the Liberty Stadium to become one of the erstwhile Liverpool manager’s first signings in 2012.
And reports today suggest that Allen could be rejoining his home town club this summer.
The Sunday Mirror claim that Francesco Guidolin, who extended his stay as Swansea boss earlier this week, is targeting a move for Allen as well as securing a permanent deal for Queens Park Rangers winger Leroy Fer, who has spent this season on loan at the Liberty.
