Liverpool could be set for a big-money summer move for Paris Saint Germain star Javier Pastore, according to reports.
France Football claim that Reds chief scout Kevin Hunt watched the gifted attacking midfielder during the Ligue 1 club’s 4-0 home trouncing of Rennes, with manager Jurgen Klopp a keen admirer of the gifted Argentine’s abilities.
Pastore, 26, joined PSG for £33 million back in 2011 and has played a major role for Laurent Blanc’s side, scoring 34 goals in 175 games.
But with PSG’s Qatari owners preparing a summer spending spree in an attempt to overhaul an ageing squad, it is believed that injury-prone Pastore may well be deemed surplus to requirements and granted a move during the close season.
Serie A champions Juventus are also credited with an interest in the player.
