Four hotels based in Liverpool City Centre have made it on to the Good Hotel Guide 2018.
The independent guide – which is now celebrating its 40th year – contains 424 main entries and 416 shortlist entries this year.
One of Liverpool’s hotels, 2 Blackburn Terrace, has even achieved the prestigious position of Editors Choice.
There are just four bedrooms available at the boutique hotel. The Guide states: ‘The personal service, facilities and little extras put this upmarket B&Bs in a class above quite few better-rated hotels we’ve stayed in.’
‘The hosts are delightful, dedicated and keen. (There’s a four legged friend to be made too: ‘Ask to meet Mile the Rhodesian ridgeback.’)
Liverpool’s Beatles themed hotel, Hard Days Night, was also shortlisted by the Guide.
Hope Street Hotel and The Nader make up the rest of Liverpool’s offerings within the Guide.
In addition to the City Centre Hotels, a Wirral based hotel has also been named in the guide. Mere Brook House is an eight bedroom hotel with four situated in a Coach House.
The guide states: ‘On the Wirral peninsula, Lorna Tyson and her husband, Donald, a farmer, have transformed an Edwardian country house into a relaxed B&B – ‘no notice/rules anywhere!’
