Liverpool FC make official approach for Manchester United transfer target

Liverpool have reportedly made an official approach for Braga midfielder Rafa Silva.

Manchester United are said to be in the hunt for the 22-year-old but claims in Portugal suggest that the Reds have stolen a march on their arch rivals in their pursuit of the player.

Newspaper ‘A Bola’ claim that Jurgen Klopp has signalled his intent in signing Siva, who is expected to feature for his country at Euro 2016 this summer.

Silva will cost in the region of £14 million but United are thought to remain firm favourites to secure his services on account of sharing the same agent, Jorge Mendes, as prospective Old Trafford boss Jose Mourinho.
