Liverpool will revive their interest in Monaco’s Thomas Lemar next month.
Jurgen Klopp pursued the highly-rated attacker in the summer transfer window and made a late attempt to sign him but was unable to strike a deal.
Arsenal were also in the hunt for Lemar but similarly failed in their efforts to land him but are expected to make a renewed pursuit in the upcoming January market.
However the Independent have claimed that Klopp is also preparing to target the France international, who is currently valued in the region of £90 million.
Lemar is viewed as someone who would offer the Reds even more variety up front and provide further competition to Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah.
It has also been suggested that the 22-year-old could become Philippe Coutinho’s long-term replacement, with Barcelona continuing to target the playmaker.
Lemar has scored twice in 17 appearances for Monaco this season and recorded the same number of goals in three outings with France.
