Andres Iniesta believes Philippe Coutinho would be a vital addition to Barcelona.
The current La Liga leaders retain an interest in Coutinho heading into the January transfer window despite Liverpool rejecting a series of bids last summer.
Coutinho has refused to rule out a move away from Anfield next month amid continued reports in Spain that Barca are planning to renew their pursuit.
And Iniesta, who recently signed a lifetime contract at the Nou Camp, has backed the Brazil international and Palmeiras defender Yerry Mina as prospective arrivals.
He said: “I think they would be two important reinforcements to the squad.
“If the club wants to strengthen those positions, it should be with players that can be prepared to withstand the pressure of a club like this, and they would be two big signings.
“But nothing has happened, so it’s difficult.”
