Paris Saint-Germain are set to battle Barcelona for Philippe Coutinho’s signature.
Coutinho failed to secure a £100 million-plus move to the Catalans last summer with Liverpool holding firm in their refusal to sell the in-demand playmaker.
Barca are expected to return for the Brazil international in January but reports claim that they will face stern competition from a seemingly free-spending PSG.
According to Sport, Les Parisiens are preparing to reignite their interest in Coutinho, who was the subject of a failed £23m offer in summer 2016.
Both PSG’s president Nasser Al-Khelaifi and sporting director Antero Henrique and technical coordinator Maxwell are said to be keen to facilitate the 25-year-old’s potential move to the French capital.
However Barcelona also remain keen to land Coutinho, having failed with an offer of £114m before the summer transfer window closed at the end of August.
Liverpool rejected a transfer request from the one-time Inter Milan player on the eve of the new Premier League season as he bid to force a move to the Nou Camp.
