Liverpool FC plot fresh RB Leipzig transfer raid

Liverpool are said to be tracking RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano.

Jurgen Klopp has already raided the Bundesliga outfit this summer with a deal agreed to take Naby Keita to Anfield coming into effect on July 1, 2018.

But reports in Germany claim that the Reds are now plotting another move for one of Leipzig’s highly-rated talents in the form of Upamecano.

Bild claim that Klopp is monitoring the versatile France under-19 international, who can operate as either a central defender or in a holding midfield role.

Upamecano has made 18 outings since arriving from Salzburg in January and made cameo appearances as Leipzig finished runner-up to Bayern Munich.

However the Red Bulls are preparing to offer the 18-year-old a new long-term contract which will include a €100 million (£88.7m) release clause.
