Everton are on the verge of a deal for Hajduk Split playmaker Nikola Vlasic.
Vlasic has made 85 appearances for the Croatian side and recently played against the Blues when the two clubs faced off in a Europa League qualifier.
Goodison Park chiefs are keen to seal the 19-year-old’s move as Ronald Koeman wants to add further options before Thursday’s transfer deadline.
Hajduk president Ivan Kos has hinted that Vlasic could be among the players leaving the club this week as they aim to maintain their financial stability.
“The transfer window runs until August 31, sometimes transfers happen a minute before midnight,” he told Slobodna Dalmacija.
“We don’t want to lose 1% of our quality [but] we also have to think about financial stability.
“I don’t like to talk about things I cannot say with certainty.
“We’ll keep track of how things are going.”
