Lukaku hints at decision on Everton FC future

Romelu Lukaku says that he knows where he will be playing next season.

The Everton striker rejected an offer to extend his spell with the club in March amid growing interest from Manchester United and former club Chelsea.

Lukaku has spent the previous four seasons at Goodison Park, where he has become the Blues’ leading all-time goal scorer for the Premier League era.

But the Belgium international, speaking after his country’s win over the Czech Republic on Monday, has hinted that a decision has been made on his future.

He said: “I don’t want to stay at the same level.

“I want to improve and I know where I want to do that. We are now talking to the club. I know what’s happening, but I will leave the talks to my agent.

“I know what’s happening, but I can’t tell you anything more.

“What I would like most is to play in the Champions League and try to win the Premier League once. Or better – a few times.”

Lukaku currently has two years remaining on his existing deal with Everton.
