Liverpool are said to have tied up a deal for Gremio forward Luan.
The Olympic gold medalist attracted interest from the Reds as well as Manchester United last summer but could finally be on the verge of a move to Anfield.
According to reports in Brazil, Jurgen Klopp has made a £26 milion bid for Luan, who has been likened to ex-Barcelona star and Gremio graduate Ronaldinho.
Gremio president Romildo Bolzan Jr is understood to have accepted Liverpool’s offer but is deferring a sale until the Copa Libertadores ends later this month.
Talks over the 24-year-old, who has scored 24 times in 98 outings for the club, opened in April when his agent are said to have met Anfield chiefs in London.
Luan played an integral part in his country’s win at the Rio games, scoring in the quarter final and semi finals before dispatching a penalty in the final’s shoot-out.
