Hertha Berlin are keen to extend Liverpool midfielder Allan Rodrigues’ stay.
The Brazilian moved to the Bundesliga side on loan last August in his efforts to obtain a work permit but has only made 11 appearances for the club.
Allan missed four weeks between January and February due to his country’s participation in the South American Youth Football Championship in Uruguay.
He is still likely to be ineligible for a work permit should he return to Anfield this summer, with Hertha offering the 20-year-old the possibility of a renewed spell.
But Michael Preetz, the club’s general manager, insists that the prospect would be dependent on Liverpool, where Jurgen Klopp is said to be a fan of Allan.
“We must and will discuss this with Liverpool,” he told Kicker.
“He has done it well in terms of commitment and mentality.”
