Ronald Koeman is unsure whether Everton will rue failing to sign Manolo Gabbiadini.
The Blues had held talks over a deal for the Italy international last summer, only for negotiations with Napoli to break down despite a £20 million fee agreed.
Gabbiadini moved to England just six months later with Southampton, who have reaped the benefits with the striker scoring six times in his first four games.
But Koeman is refusing to pass judgement on Everton’s failure to land the 25-year-old just yet.
He said: “Maybe it is too early to make that kind of conclusion.
“I agree he’s starting really well scoring goals, one targets in the summer.
“There was some business but, finally, wasn’t an agreement with him.”
