Everton FC set to revive Gylfi Sigurdsson pursuit

Everton will reportedly revive their interest in Gylfi Sigurdsson this summer.

Ronald Koeman had pursued the Iceland international in successive transfer windows and the Blues manager is now preparing for a renewed attempt.

Swansea remained resolute in refusing to sell Sigurdsson on both occasions but Everton are remain undeterred as they aim to secure European qualification.

The midfielder recorded nine goals and 10 assists for the Welsh club this season and fits Koeman’s aim of adding more experienced Premier League players to his squad.

According to Bleacher Report, Swansea would be reluctantly willing to part with the player for a figure in the region of £20 million and £25m.

Sigurdsson returned to the Liberty Stadium in 2014 following a fruitless two-year spell with Tottenham but is now understood to be favouring another move away.

Koeman previously raided Swansea for Wales captain Ashley Williams, who moved to Goodison Park last summer in a deal worth £12 million.
