Everton FC line up Dutch striker as Romelu Lukaku replacement

Everton are reportedly tracking Vincent Janssen as a possible replacement for Romelu Lukaku.

Reports in Holland claim that Blues scouts are monitoring the progress of the AZ Alkmaar forward and were in attendance as the Eredivisie side slipped to a 4-2 defeat at home to PSV Eindhoven last weekend.

Janssen has had a stellar campaign to date and is the top scorer in the Eredivise this season and the 21-year-old struck his first international goal from the penalty spot in last week’s 2-1 victory over England at Wembley

An impressive 20 goals in 29 appearances has brought the player to the attention of some of Europe’s biggest sides.

De Telegraaf also credit Everton’s Premier League rivals Manchester United and French giants Paris Saint-Germain, who have also been linked with a move for Lukaku, with an interest in the attacker.

It is believed that representatives from both sides also watched Janssen over the weekend.
