Liverpool FC fly out for Portugal international talks

Liverpool are reportedly planning to hold talks with William Carvalho.

A host of Premier League clubs are targeting the Sporting Lisbon midfielder, with Arsenal and runaway leaders Chelsea both recently credited with interest.

But reports in Portugal suggest that the Reds are preparing to steal an early march on their contemporaries by jetting in to meet with Carvalho.

A Bola claim representatives from Anfield have flown into Lisbon to open prospective transfer negotiations with Sporting director Bruno de Carvalho.

Carvalho was a member of his country’s Euro 2016-winning squad last summer and is expected to command a fee in the region of £25 million.

Everton were previously linked with a move for the 24-year-old during the formative weeks of Ronald Koeman’s tenure at Goodison Park.
