Liverpool FC invited to make summer move for Bundesliga target

Liverpool have been invited to make a move for Jonas Hector after Cologne admitted they would listen to offers for the left-back.

Jurgen Klopp is said to be eyeing the versatile Germany internatinonal as part of his Reds revolution this summer.

Hector himself recently revealed his admiration for the Liverpool manager and remains open to a potential summer move.

But Cologne manager Peter Stoger has today added fuel to the fire by conceding that an offer in excess of £10 million would force the Bundesliga club’s hand.

“I don’t have to talk about what may happen in the summer, but if somebody should offer us a three-figure million sum, we’d probably give in,” he told Kicker.

“If a two-figure million sum is offered, we’d consider it – and if Jonas Hector says that he doesn’t want to stay here, we’d have to face up to it.

“When a player like Jonas, who permanently refines himself, is in the spotlight it is just a super story.

“There are worse problems for a club than having to deal with a player maybe leaving the club because he’s in incredible form.”
