Gerard Deulofeu’s future hinges on Everton will allowing him to leave, AC Milan’s sporting director Adriano Galliani has claimed.
The Spain international made his first Blues appearance in over a month as a substitute in the FA Cup exit to Leicester City after falling out of favour under Ronald Koeman.
Milan are currently in pole position from a host of clubs hoping to take Deulofeu on loan as he seeks regular first-team football away from Goodison Park.
But Galliani has made the Serie A club’s frustrations with the planned deal public and insists that the only hold-up rests with the Everton hierarchy.
He said: “We have shown our will. Now it’s up to Everton to decide.
“We want a winger, nothing else.”
