Paris Saint-Germain are set to renew their interest in Philippe Coutinho next month despite seeing their original advances rejected by Liverpool.
An offer in the region of £23 million for the Brazil international was rebuffed outright last summer as Anfield officials refused to entertain the notion of selling.
But reports claim that the Ligue 1 side will attempt to test the Reds’ resolve after recently trumping them to the signing of Wolfsburg winger Julian Draxler.
According to the Daily Express, PSG are planning to offer up to £40 million in their bid to land Coutinho when the transfer window reopens on January 1.
Barcelona and Bayern Munich are said to be planning to rival the French champions in their attempts to prise the playmaker away from Anfield.
Coutinho is currently sidelined with an ankle injury which is set to rule him out of the showdown with Manchester City on New Year’s Eve.
