Kevin Nolan believes that Ross Barkley would be making ‘a great career move’ in leaving Everton for Tottenham.
The north London club are reportedly targeting a £35 million move for the Blues midfielder in order to bring the best out of leading striker Harry Kane.
Barkley’s form has endured regular dips across a series of games as he acclimatises to Ronald Koeman’s debut season in the Goodison Park hot seat.
But ex-West Ham and Newcastle midfielder Nolan has urged the 23-year-old to consider seizingthe chance of a move away from his boyhood club.
“Being a local lad, I always felt that pressure,” he told TalkSport.
“Ross, being the lad he is from Liverpool, for him to get out of the city and go to a club like Tottenham would be a great career move.”
