Liverpool are reportedly tracking Anderlecht winger Frank Acheampong.
Acheampong has caught the eye of Reds scouts who have been tracking him in recent weeks as Jurgen Klopp looks to definitively solve his left-back problem.
Alberto Moreno lost his place at the beginning of the season to midfielder James Milner while Nathaniel Clyne has occasionally deputised in the role.
But Klopp is keen to have a more established player fulfilling the role in the long term and has identified Acheampong after becoming a near ever-present for Anderlecht.
Reports in the Ghana international’s homeland claim that the versatile attacker, who can also play in defence, is on the verge of a January move to Anfield.
Premier League rivals Sunderland are also said to be in talks with the Belgian club to sign the 23-year-old in next month’s transfer window.
