Liverpool has released new drone footage offering a bird’s-eye view of the latest developments behind Anfield’s expansion.
Work on a more modernised Main Stand, which will increase the Reds’ stadium capacity by a further 8,500 seats, is set to be completed this summer and will create over 1,000 new match day jobs.
Anfield chiefs recently revealed artist renderings of what will greet supporters from the forthcoming 2016-17 season onwards.
As part of work on the expanded new stand, which will house 20,500 supporters, an incredible 760 panes of glass are set to be installed to allow fans with unprecedented views across the city.
Liverpool have also planned to commemorate facets of the old Main Stand by incorporated them into the new structure, with a number of seats from the original early 20th century structure set to be preserved.
Anfield’s famous tunnel will also be given a facelift as part of the renovation while the home and away team dugouts will also be upgraded.
