Liverpool have confirmed they will wear their new kit in Jurgen Klopp’s farewell.
Klopp is set to bow out on nine years at the Anfield helm following Sunday’s Premier League finale against Wolves, which will be his 491st and last game as manager.
The Reds revealed on Thursday that the German’s last stand will take place while wearing their Nike 1984-inspired home strip for the forthcoming campaign.
It marks an extension of the club’s end-of-season tradition by debuting their new season’s kit in the final home match of the previous one for a first glimpse.
Klopp is expected to make a public address to the Anfield crowd following the game with Gary O’Neil’s side, with his own team unable to improved on a third-place finish.
An announcement on the 56-year-old’s replacement is yet to be made buit widely anticipated to be Feyenoord’s Arne Slot in a summer of wholesale change.
Alongside Klopp, five of his backroom staff are also set to depart with assistant Pep Lijnders already signed up as Red Bull Salzburg’s new head coach this week.
