Liverpool are reportedly set to open talks with Udinese to make Piotr Zielinski their third summer signing.
Poland international Zielinski has been identified as the latest addition to Jurgen Klopp’s close-season rebuilding project and could soon be Anfield-bound amid claims that the Reds and their Serie A counterparts are preparing to enter into negotiations.
Currently nearing the end of a two-season loan with Empoli, the 21-year-old caught the eye of Reds scouts in attenance at last weekend’s Serie A encounter with Genoa as well as observing yesterday’s 1-1 draw with Sampdoria, according to the Daily Mail.
Zielinski would follow in the footsteps of Serbian midfielder Marko Grujic and Schalke defender Joel Matip, who are both set to begin their Anfield careers this summer.
