Everton have confirmed Richarlison’s sale to Tottenham Hotspur.
Richarlison scored 53 goals in 152 appearances during a four year spell with the Goodison Park club, including six from his final nine outings last season.
Those latter contributions from the Brazil international proved integral as Frank Lampard’s side were successful in avoiding Premier League relegation.
He also opened the scoring for the Blues in their long-awaited bid to taste Merseyside derby victory at Anfield under Carlo Ancelotti in February 2021.
The 25-year-old became a mainstay for his country during his time with Everton, winning the 2019 Copa America and Olympic gold last year.
But Richarlison leaves Merseyside for north London in a deal worth an initial £50 million with a further £10M of add-ons potentially increasing that fee.
It marks a £15M mark-up on Everton’s original outlay to reunite the 25-year-old with his former Watford manager Marco Silva in summer 2018.
“It’s very difficult to say goodbye to a place that has become my home,” Richarlison wrote on Instagram.
“Of fans who welcomed me not just as another player, but as if I were one of them, in the stands; and a club that treated me kindly and helped me develop my sense of community and empathy.
“No words and not all the love I have for this club is enough to thank you.
“We’ll see you along the way! I love you Evertonians.”
