Southampton are leading a three-club chase for Everton’s Ademola Lookman.
Marco Silva has routinely stressed the importance of the winger to his reign as Blues manager, having rebuffed several offers from RB Leipzig last year.
But Ralph Hasenhuttl is now hoping to secure a reunion with Lookman, who played under him with the Bundesliga outfit during the previous campaign.
According to the Independent, the Saints have set their sights on a £20 million deal in efforts to land the highly-rated 21-year-old despite a host of interest.
South Coast rivals Bournemouth are also said to be monitoring developments over Lookman’s future while Leipzig have no given up hope of signing him.
The London-born player has two years remaining on his existing deal at Goodison Park, where he has made 48 appearances in all competitions since 2017.
Everton, meanwhile, are reportedly eyeing Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic.
Sky Sports News claim that Silva has identified the Serbia international as a potential option to bolstering his firepower following the Cottagers’ relegation.
