Everton have been handed a second injury scare in the space of 24 hours after Romelu Lukaku suffered a thigh problem.
Lukaku sustained the injury after scoring in Belgium’s 4-0 World Cup qualifying win over Bosnia-Herzegovina on Friday night.
The striker was replaced by Christian Benteke later in the game and admitted that he could miss his country’s following game with Gibraltar on Monday.
He said: “I felt something but we will see.”
News of Lukaku’s potential setback comes a day after Blues captain Phil Jagielka withdrew from the England squad with the same injury.
It means that Ronald Koeman could potentially head into next weekend’s trip to Manchester City without either his skipper or leading marksman.
