Koeman throws down challenge to Everton FC new boy

Everton manager Ronald Koeman has challenged Yannick Bolasie to increase his goal tally.

Bolasie joined the Blues in a £25 million deal following four years at Crystal Palace in which he recorded nine Premier League goals in three seasons.

But Koeman believes the DR Congo forward is capable of scoring more following his big-money switch to Goodison Park earlier this week.

He said: “Of course we like to improve every player and detail in their game.

“[Bolasie] has a lot of strengths and he needs to improve in his productivity.

“Nine goals in three Premier League seasons is not a lot.

“It’s too less because I believe strikers will score seven, eight, nine goals each season.”
