Mourinho snares Everton FC backroom for Man United

Everton have lost a key member of their backroom staff to Manchester United.

Steve Brown is set to join the Old Trafford club following eight years with the Blues.

Brown arrived at Goodison Park in 2008 from Reading as David Moyes’ Head of Performance Analysis before being promoted to scouting and recruitment co-ordinator under Roberto Martinez.

His new role entailed working with the erstwhile Everton manager and chief scout Kevin Reeves, who left the club with the Catalan earlier this summer.

And Brown is now understood to have also departed in favour of a move to United, where he will work alongside the club’s new manager Jose Mourinho, according to the Liverpool Echo.
