Everton are set to reject Manchester United’s first bid for Jarrad Branthwaite.
Branthwaite has been the subject of growing interest from Old Trafford which extended to personal terms reportedly being agreed with his representatives.
The England international risks being sacrificed before the end of June due to the Blues’ ongoing need to satisfy Premier League financial fair play rules.
But the Red Devils’ opening gambit of £35 million for Branthwaite, crowned the club’s Young Player of the Year, is expected to be rejected out of hand.
Goodison Park officials are understood to hold the 21-year-old’s valuation at closer to £80M, more than double the current offer on the table from United.
Beyond interest in Branthwaite, Everton have also received an enquiry from Premier League counterparts Arsenal over Amadou Onana’s availability.
The Belgian midfielder is approaching a third season on Merseyside after joining from Lille for £33M in summer 2022 during Frank Lampard’s tenure.
However Sean Dyche’s side are expected to hold out for a £50M bracket to part with Onana, who is currently representing his country at Euro 2024.
