Everton are targeting a loan for Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips.
Phillips has fallen out of favour after making a £45 million move to the newly crowned Premier League champions from Leeds United in summer 2022.
The England international spent a dismal half-season loan at West Ham, where he struggled to make any meaningful impact in 10 appearances.
But the Blues are exploring a potential short-term switch for Phillips, whose first-team prospects at the Etihad Stadium have become increasingly bleak.
A return to Leeds had been mooted prior to their Championship play-off final defeat to Southampton which has now effectively ended that possibility.
Sean Dyche’s side, meanwhile, are in talks with the Yorkshire club over another deal for Jack Harrison after his impressive loan spell last term.
The winger missed Everton’s final two games of the season with a hamstring injury but made 35 appearances, contributing three goals and four assists.
