Former Everton manager Roberto Martinez is demanding £10 million for his sacking.
Ronald Koeman was unveiled as Martinez’s successor on Friday but the Catalan is locked in talks with Blues officials as the fall-out from his May deposition continues.
And reports suggest that the former Wigan manager, 42, is pursuing a settlement of £10 million for the remaining three years that were set to run on his Goodison Park contract as the two parties remain at an impasse.
The Daily Mail claim that Martinez is holding out for an eight-figure sum following the decision to depose him last month after Everton endured an abject run of successive mid-table finishes in as many Premier League seasons.
