Sean Dyche has revealed details of his ‘honest’ talks with 777 Partners.
Everton’s prospective new owners met with Dyche and director of football Kevin Thelwell as the process of their proposed takeover gets underway.
777 co-founder Josh Wander visited the club’s Finch Farm base for informal discussions after agreeing to buy out Farhad Moshiri’s 94.1% shareholding.
Dyche has since outlined what was said during those meetings by the Miami-based investors, who hold a multi-club ownership network across the globe.
“They made it clear to us the deal has got a long way to go until its finality,” said the Everton manager.
“Most of it was casual, to be honest, what I’ve learnt here and the challenges.
“They were very honest, more getting a feel of what our thoughts were and my thoughts were since coming into the club.
He added: “There were fans questioning the last regime, didn’t want them at the games last season.
“There’s a new idea coming in so fans will be looking at it like which way is it going to swing? Will they get the deal done?
“The noise that would create is hopefully a very positive noise, at this stage it creates a hullabaloo over nothing at times.
“It’s a business transaction but as we know in football these business transactions go into public domain very quickly.”
