Farhad Moshiri has reiterated his stance that Everton is not for sale.
Moshiri covered a wide range of topics in an interview with Fan Advisory Board chair Jazz Bal, recorded before last weekend’s defeat to West Ham.
Reports on Tuesday evening claimed the British-Iranian billionaire was prepared to listen to offers of more than £500 million for the Blues.
But Moshiri insists his commitment to the Goodison Park club remains undiluted and is in talks to generate funding for Bramley-Moore Dock.
He said: “The club is not for sale but I’ve been talking to top investments to bridge a gap on the stadium.
“I can do it myself, and the reason I want to bring top sport investors into Everton for some of the reason want improvement – more talent – and we are close to having a deal done.
“It’s not selling the club at all. It’s just bringing more expertise in terms of global sponsorship, in terms of commercial development.
“And a lot of specialist sport investors have this pool of knowledge, and that is to secure that for Everton.”
Relations between the Everton fanbase and its hierarchy hit an all-time low after uncorroborated claims of targeted abuse towards members of the board.
Supporters are set to protest before and after next month’s visit of Arsenal, where Moshiri held shares for nine years prior to arriving on Merseyside.
“I feel the pain. I hear what the fans are saying and they have points,” added Moshiri.
“We will be addressing them and I don’t miss anything. I have a list of all the points.
“I agree with everything and I am committed to this club. Not just stadium, but to join the elite and I need your help.
“The fans are the most important part of the Everton institution. We need to go through this together and only we can go through this together.
“Everton has been dependent on Goodison and the 12th man. I know we are much the weaker without the full heart and support of the fans.
“I will do whatever it takes to get fans on board. I will meet them. They can talk to me. But I am on it 24 hours a day.
“It is not a position sustainable for a club of our standard and we just need to address it. We can only address it together.”
