Everton have signed goalkeeper Eldin Jakupovic on a short-term deal.
Jakupovic, 37, arrives at Goodison Park as a free agent, after his five-year stay with Premier League counterparts Leicester City ended this summer.
The Swiss international joins Frank Lampard’s side to provide cover in light of injuries to first-choice stopper Jordan Pickford and deputy Andy Lonergan.
Pickford suffered a thigh injury during the Blues’ Merseyside derby stalemate with Liverpool this month which is set to sideline him for up to four weeks.
Lonergan, meanwhile, is facing several weeks out of action with a knee injury.
Second-choice goalkeeper Asmir Begovic is set to fill the void left by Pickford’s absence when Everton welcome West Ham United on Sunday afternoon.
