Amadou Onana is set to complete a move to Everton in the next 24 hours.

Onana was previously expected to join West Ham United before Frank Lampard’s side expressed their interest in the midfielder earlier this week.

Personal terms are already agreed between the 20-year-old and the Blues, who struck a deal in excess of £30 million with Ligue 1 outfit Lille.

Onana, who was handed his full Belgium debut by ex-Everton manager Roberto Martinez this year, is set to undergo a medical this weekend.

However he would not be eligible for his new club’s Premier League opener with Chelsea due to missing the Premier League’s registration deadline.

Lampard is also progressing well in his efforts to bring Idrissa Gueye back to Goodison Park, three years after he left the club for Paris Saint-Germain.

Christophe Galtier omitted the Senegal international, 32, from his squad which will travel to Claremont for their new domestic campaign on Saturday night.
