Farhad Moshiri expected to increase Everton FC shareholding

Iranian billionnaire Farhad Moshiri has a deal in place to increase his shares in Everton.

The former Arsenal shareholder puchased a 49.9% stake in the Blues in late February for a fee in the region of £87.5 million, case and has already manoeuvred himself in a position to raise that total to around 76%.

Leaked documents reveal that Moshiri, who promised to invest heavily in the Everton playing staff and deliver a new stadium upon arrival at Goodison Park, has signed the agreement to buy from a number of prominent shareholders, including chairman Bill Kenwright, John Woods and Arthur Abercromy, under the company name Blue Heaven Holdings.

Indeed, the documents from The Isle of Man’s Companies Registry also confirm that the new Blues backer has agreed to pay a set fee to the three board members for their remaining shares, should he wish to do so.

If Moshiri were to reach the percentage quoted, he would assume full control of the club.
