Everton fans stage second Moshiri protest

Everton fans have continued protests against the club’s owner Farhad Moshiri.

Several hundred supporters staged a sit-in demonstration against Moshiri and the Goodison Park hierarchy following last weekend’s 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa.

Chairman Bill Kenwright also faced criticism as he left the stadium, during which he told fans that they ‘had good times’ since the Blues’ last trophy in 1995.

The 27 Years Campaign has now revealed three banners that were tied to a fence outside Goodison on Monday evening aimed at Moshiri’s ownership.

One aimed the British-Iranian billionaire said: ‘If you want success then change this mess’, while another made clear that Kia Joorabchian was ‘not welcome’.

Joorabchian’s alleged behind-the-scenes influence at Everton has become a source of concern for fans amid claims the super-agent is advising Moshiri.

The 50-year-old was a notable presence in the directors’ box at the Villa game and has been linked with several names touted for the vacant manager position.
